Alec Baldwin is an American??
Alec Baldwin is a Socialist!! Period!! End of Story! He's only an American by birth. He certainly isn't an American by politics, although some left wing socialist might think that he's an American. Well he is a board member of "People for the America Way," that does make him an American doesn't it? The only problem is; "People for the American Way" is anything but ........American!
If you have followed this excuse for an actor and his politics at all lately, you know exactly what I'm talking about. If you haven't let me fill you in on his little "Hitler" attitude.
If you don't agree with Alec then you don't deserve to live. (Can you say Adolf?) Ok, Hayes, that's a little extreme isn't it? I mean he never said that....did he? Want proof? Alec showed up on Letterman a few years back and started in on one of his political tantrums, the tantrum that as far as I know put him on the map with the media. He actually came out and said that Newt Gingrich and all the Republicans (I believe he put it) should be "stoned to death." Letterman, of course, tried to laugh it off as "shock" TV. The only problem was that Alec was serious. That's also the same night he eluded to "leaving the country" if an Republican was elected president. He denies that now, of course, hoping no one will ever show that tape. It was late night TV so maybe no one saw it. I guess the people that said he said he would leave just "made that up." It must have been a "vast right wing conspiracy."
Now (Smart) Alec is down in Florida comparing the election as an equal disaster to 11 September, 2001. Mr. Baldwin is now exhibiting the very lack of "tolerance" his side of political spectrum loves to remind Americans about everyday of the week. Over half this country voted against the man Mr. Baldwin supported. Isn't that the American way? The people have spoken, Alec and they didn't favor Al Gore. Does that mean that those that voted for Bush, Buchannan and Nader are not Americans? Well those that voted for Nader may be Americans according to Alec but that's it. Never mind the fact that all the media sources that went down to Palm Beach county, save one or two, all came to the conclusion that Bush did win. (That's fair and square to you Alec.) Alec may not agree with Republican politics but comparing them to a disaster that took place "911" is not only ignorant, it's just plain MEAN!! Isn't there a bumper sticker about "mean" people?
People on Alec's side of politics are suppose to be against "mean" people. They are suppose to be "tolerant," they are suppose to be for the American way of life, "the pursuit of happiness." Instead these people and especially Mr. Baldwin show us more and more that they are no less than "mean" to those who don't agree with them. They are INTOLERANT of those who disagree with them and for the most part they are socialist and this is mainly rooted in the fact that they are elite and in a socialist society they get to keep their status. However in a capitalist society they may have to relinquish, eventually, to someone that may be better (God forbid.)
One oxymoron out of (Smart) Alec's statement strikes me as completely ironic. He said "I believe that what happened in 2000 did as much damage to the pillars of democracy as terrorists did to the pillars of commerce in New York City." The ironic thing seems to be that not only is this country coming out of the terrorist attack in better shape but also the commerce of this country keeps moving ahead and is almost as strong as ever. Politics seem to be moving the same direction. With Bush in office, all the sudden a lot of people are starting to have faith the government can do some things right. Unlike what we saw over the previous eight years of government bungling, we now see a renewed faith and a new high in moral that ranks behind only during the periods of the Gulf War and "the big one."
